Daniel Sinfield |


Perth born Daniel Sinfield has performed for opera companies and symphony orchestras throughout Australia. He has an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and went on to do a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Australia.

In recent years Daniel has Performed ‘Acis and Galetea’ and Alfredo’ from Die Fledermaus for Co Opera. Including a national tour, The role of Peter Quint in The Turn of The Screw and an abridged concert of Mozarts ‘Mitradate’ as the title character. As well as covering Pylades in Iphiginie en Tauride for Lyric opera of Melbourne.

Daniel has sung in the chorus of many operas including ‘La Fanciulla Del West’ directed by Nigel Jamieson, ‘Aida’ directed by Graeme Murphy, ‘La Boheme’ with conductor Joseph Colaneri of the Metropolitan Opera, ‘The Magic Flute’ conducted by Richard Mills and ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ conducted by Joseph Colaneri and directed by John Milson.

As well as singing with the WA Opera chorus Daniel has performed the roles of Prince Philipe in ‘A Dinner Engagement’ and Pluto in ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ and the First Sailor from ‘Dido and Aeneas’.

For the last 2 years Daniel has worked with the Opera Studio Melbourne under of Artistic Director Linda Thompson, Director Cameron Menzies and Répétiteur Andrea Katz. At the Opera Studio, Daniel has performed as Don Ottavio in Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni’, Acis from Handels ‘Acis and Galetea’, Mercury in Offenbachs ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’, and Don Alberto in ‘Loves Luggage Lost’ by Rossini.
